Entered a toughmudder and loved it! Ian then started to do multiple lap days and went on to Europe's Toughest Mudder followed by the Worlds Toughest Mudder 24 hour race in the Nevada desert. He was now completely hooked but wanted to push himself further. For charity, he then ran 106 miles non stop along the Leeds to Liverpool canal. He qualified once again as a contender for the Worlds Toughest Mudder in Atlanta 2018 and was overwhelmed to come 26th out of 2500. Ian has also taken part in an number of ultra trail races including 2 x 100km races within 2 weeks of each other.

When asked about his greatest sporting achievement, he states: “Coming 26th at worlds toughest 24 hour Mudder event was amazing, competing 100 miles in 23:22 was something I never thought I could achieve but more importantly is the many thousands of pounds that I have raised for charity through my running”.

Favourite Manuka Sport product: Cherry Energy Gel - “the cherry flavoured caffeine gel is the best one I have ever had for taste but more importantly the boost in energy is amazing”

Favourite Food: “Currently I cannot get enough muesli with coconut and fruit with a drizzle of Manuka MGO honey”

When asked for a fun fact about himself, Ian answered: “Just a normal guy trying to do extraordinary things to prove I’m not normal!”
