Christine got into triathlon an interesting way. She broke both her ankles in 2016 and it inspired her to “get fit” and so when she was well, she picked up running. She loved it instantly but after a few races knew she wanted a bigger challenge. She wanted to find something that would really challenge her and to push her personal limits. As a child, she swam competitively every summer until she was 18, so combining the 2 made perfect sense. She then decided to learn how to ride a bike and make it the trifecta! She also likes to take part in horse riding.
Her greatest sporting achievement was qualifying for Ironman 70.3 and the World Championships at only her second race and when asked about her future goals, she says: “To win my age group at a 70.3 race and maybe one day at the World Championships!”
Christine is a professional oboist in real life! She performs with lots of symphonies and operas in the Los Angeles area.
